The dream palace of Elham Rokni is flickering like a meteor in total darkness, the air is shattered with thousands of flashing parts, scattering bright stars fly around, in one minute and they will all disappear.
Rokni’s drawings are inspired by fantasy places.  She was born in Iran, a land she is unable to visit. The magical paintings are replacing the longing:  castles in saturated colors, glowing interiors and spaces that give a sense of joy and hope for a better world. Rokni creates a magical world out of distant memories associated with places and people from her childhood. Like always in nostalgy, she doesn’t remember them as they are, but as she dreams about them.
