This  bouquet of flowers  set on a table is a perfect moment of magnificent beauty. The ultimate balance of color and form is a delusion of control, a vanitas boasting of the taming of nature. And then, it shatters.
In his video work Big Bang, Gersht directs the cycle of that perfect beauty and its explosion. We humans believe that we control beauty, but at that moment of devastation, our arrogance crushes before us. In reality, it is now perfectly clear that nature's cycle of destruction and re-growth is beyond our control.
