Designing exhibition of prints by Salvador Dali
I was asked by the director of the KRONA Museum to design an exhibition of a collection of prints by Salvador Dali, a loan from Richard H. Mayer. The complete collection of Bible and New Testament illustrations contains 105 prints each of which is impressive in its beauty. Some in black and white and some in stormy colors.
In the museum space I created a gallery within an existing gallery. The new space was created for Dali's works but parts of the museum itself can be seen.
I chose to paint the walls a deep gray hue as the color of the entrance wall to the space itself.
So the division between an existing space and a new space is sometimes visible and sometimes unclear.
