This event was organized by Human Rights Watch. The topic was: Child marriages. You cannot imagine it: 11,10 or even 5 years old girls who are still forcibly married. As one of them said: ”this is the beginning of my death”.
Between the multicolored decorations, dancing and singing people the photographer Stephanie Sinclair constrained in the expression on the faces of the girls. They look to the camera and force us to look at their eyes. The question if art can change the world, comes up here strongly.
