Between hundreds of dramatic, harsh colored photos some with impossible compositions, at the preview of the Unseen Photo Fair, I stand in front of real light in the modest work of Anoek Steketee. A plain room with bare furniture turns her photo into a place of intimacy and fluorescence. The format she chose contains very few objects, but succeeds to create a picturesque place.
