Jack Whitten talks about the way he sees art and about tools and ideas he uses to make his art. For him, light and space are responsable to create the feeling of infinity and at the same time to be specific in time and place. The beaming light that comes out of his work creates this cosmic feeling. In some paintings the light is hidden between lines and color patches, it directs you to focus at what is existing and what has disappeared in to+ the black.
