A solo exhibition of Waldemar Zimbelmann with real paintings. By real I mean having the need to stand in front of each one for few minutes; admiring the atmosphere which is created by the lines that stretch the perspective and the mix of different kinds of paint in multiple layers. It took me some time to find the body parts of the figures so I could understand the relations between them. No doubt, their Russian Madonna icon-faces were the most engaging part of the paintings.
