I was standing astonished under Giambattista Tiepolo’s ceiling with frescoes in the former ballroom, the main room of this museum of city history.  Tiepolo painted them in celebration of the marriage between Ludovico Rezzonico and Faustina Savorgnan. Looking at these frescoes made me for a moment believe in heaven:  it looked like the ceiling opened to the sky and this was my chance to have a glance at heaven.
