The doubt is so clear in this Incredulity of Thomas, I myself, came near to see the wound, only in my case I could not touch it.  Hendrick ter Brugghen, like others before, draw St. Thomas,  pushing his finger into the wound,  when he had doubt about the miracle of the resurrected  Jesus.  Sometime a miracle is in front of us and remains  hard to believe, maybe we only need to push our finger to the open wound to see if it is real.
