Look how Narcissus looks at himself. His head bowed in an impossible gesture, one that can be created only in sculpture. Artist Ernest Hiolle twisted the torso and stretched the neck dramatically to make him look at his reflection in the water. When I looked at this Narcissus face, I could totally understand why he was in love with himself.
